Function Assessments
A functional skills assessment determines current level of functioning, strengths and weaknesses by learning how the individual manages their day to day life. Functional assessments are often requested or required for accessing NDIS funding and provide useful information in determining goals and support that may be needed.
Sensory Assessment
Sensory assessments help to determine an individual’s sensory preferences and provide valuable information about how to best support learning and engagement.

Feeding Assessment
For children with difficulties at mealtimes, a feeding assessment can assist in determining why the child is not eating or has limited food range. A feeding assessment involves investigation of the child’s developmental history, their current feeding behaviours / diet, the environment, sensory processing skills, and direct observations of the child.
Developmental / Motor Skill Assessment
Occupational therapists often assess fine motor (i.e. use of hands – such as handwriting ability, cutlery use, dressing skills), gross motor (i.e. how our body moves), and visual motor (i.e. coordination of what we see with how we move) skills.

Assistive Technology (AT)
Assessment and NDIS AT applications for devices that allows
individuals to perform tasks they would otherwise be unable to do or increases the
ease in with which tasks can be performed.
